Per realizzare quello che visualizzate nella foto ho utilizzato 1 metro di tessuto di Stof Fabrics, in una fantasia che mi ha colpito molto perché mi ricorda i disegni orientali. Ed è perfetto su un abitino nero a tubino che non indosso quasi mai perché troppo scollato sulla schiena.

To make the garment in the pictures, I’ve used  1 meter of fabric by Stof Fabrics, in a pattern that I love because it reminds me oriental designs. And it is perfect on a black dress I rarely use because it’s backless.

Qui potete visualizzare le misure che servono per tagliare il tessuto, basandomi sulla mia dimensione della schiena (i 35 cm che vedete nel disegno) tra i due giromanica. Questa misura (come tutte le altre) possono essere modificate in funzione del gusto e delle proprie proporzioni fisiche.

Here you can see all the measurements needed to cut the fabric. These are mines based on my back (the 35 cms you can see in the drawing), the distance between the two armholes. These measurement (as all the others) can be modified depending on your taste and personal body sizes. 

Per prima cosa ho piegato a metà il tessuto lungo l’altezza.

At first I’ve folded the fabric in half along the height.  

Per stondare gli angoli.

To round the corners. 

Poi ho ripiegato il tessuto per tagliare i giromanica.

Then I folded again the fabric to cut the armholes.    

Così appare il nostro progetto quando lo riapriamo.

Our project will look like this. 

Qui potete visualizzare come sarà ripiegato il tessuto nella parte superiore per l’ultima cucitura.

Here you can see how to fold the fabric for the last seam.  

Realizziamo una cucitura a zig zag lungo tutto il bordo esterno, per farlo sembrare un bordo arrotolato ho fatto due giri. E lo stesso per i giromanica.

We are going to sew with a zig zag seam all around the external border, twice, so that it will look like a rolled seam. The same around the armholes. 

A questo punto ripieghiamo il tessuto come nella precedente immagine e realizziamo una cucitura per fissare sul margine esterno. Qui ho scelto un punto decorativo.

At this point we fold the fabric as in the previous picture and we sew on the top border. Here I’ve used a decorative stitch.

E ora possiamo divertici e sfoggiarlo sopra un abito, una maglietta oppure un top.

And now we can enjoy wearing it on top of a dress, a t-shirt or a top.
